Block Ice Descriptions:

North Hollywood Ice provides block ice in several sizes for various uses. Please review the descriptions below to assure you are getting the block ice style and weight that’s right for your needs.

10 Lb. Clear Block Ice

10″ x 7″ x 5″. Also known as blue block. Mainly used by bartenders and mixologist’s for chipping off an ideal piece of clear ice to serve in cocktails, adding a visual effect to serving cocktails and improved quality for mixed drinks. Also used for some snow cone making machine’s. Comes 10 lb. bags or a 40 lb. bag consisting of four 10 lb. bags. 

25 Lb. Block Ice

7 1/2″ tall x 10 1/2″ wide x 10 1/2″ depth. Mainly used for chilling drink’s/food. Block ice typically lasts longer than the cubed ice due to the size. Definitely a must for camping and kegs. Can be put into bags upon request, however it is recommended, when picking up bring an ice chest. Also comes in a full size 300 lb. block, 45″ tall x 21″ wide x 10 1/2″ depth, divided into two rows of six 25 lb. blocks which can be separated using an ice pick. 

300 lb. Un-Scored Block Ice

45″ tall x 21″ wide x 10 1/2″ depth. Mainly used for seafood display’s, also used for ice luges. Block’s are not fully clear.  

300 lb. Clinebell Clear Block Ice

Also known as photo block. 40″ tall x 20″ wide x 10″ depth. Mainly used for seafood display, ice carvings, ice luges, production effects, and photography. Objects or photos (depending on size) can also be fused inside the block if desired.
